See How Your Donation Makes A Difference: Keziah's Story
Keziah was raised by a loving mom who also struggled with mental health. Over time, she was not able to care for Keziah, and they ended up becoming homeless, and she ended up being put into foster care. Keziah knew that becoming educated would be a key to her breaking the cycle of poverty. She was focused on getting into college but struggled to find stable housing and supportive adults. She was told about the Inspire program and moved into our Corona home. She was focused on her education and worked at a local senior living facility, to which Inspire connected her. She is loved by many in the community. She matured and increased her life skills, connected with her mentor, and attended therapy while living in the Inspire home. She graduated from RCC, transferred to Cal Poly Humboldt, and moved into the Inspired Scholars program, which provides a monthly housing stipend, professional coaching, and therapy. Keziah is thriving and appreciative of the Inspire supporters who make her life easier as she works hard to earn her bachelor's degree and forever change her future!
